Nilgari, Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and several other peaks are surrounding in our trail. Thousands years of isolation has kept the culture, lifestyle and heritage remain untouched for centuries and to this date. The unique architecture of houses are amazing in this regions where all the houses are made by stone and sun backed mud brick.

Tiji festival is another attraction of upper mustang which Is influence by Tibetan Buddhism. The people of the mustang have different life style then the outsiders. All the brother of a family they married one girl.

Mustang known as the forbidden kingdom, since the region was restricted for outsiders until 1991. After Nepal Government announced the opening of the restricted area then foreigner were allowed for travelling. Mustang there is still a king, he is the tribe-leader of the Mustang. Every people of the Mustang they respect the king.

For Upper Mustang you should have special trekking permits from the department of immigration. At least you have two member to obtain the permits. USD $ 500 each person is charged for the 10 days trekking. Now after the Earthquake of Nepal government is reducing the permit fees. Official report has not announced but for coming season it will reduce.

Gokyo Trekking

Gokyo lake trek is a popular and classic trek in the upper reaches of the Khumbu valley. This trek has large glacier and lakes close to the base camp of the Cho Oyu (8216m). The Khumbu region is comprehensibly one of the most popular and spectacular for adventure seekers and offers the best opportunity to achieve the Himalayan experience. This trek begins with a scenic flight to Lukla (2820m). On the second day we arrive at Namche Bazzar where acclimatization is required for the trek, resting for one day. This trek takes in the ascent of Gokyo Ri (5430m) from where you will have breath taking views and charming scenery. There are many glacial lakes in the surrounding area which is most attractive for trekkers.

Gokyo lake trek is graded as difficult and challenging trek suitable only for physically fit and experienced hikers who love the challenge. Passionate and experienced trekkers who are able to walk at least 6-7 hours a day with a light rucksack and have zeal to face challenge can sign up on this trek.

Historical Palaces in Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur

Patan Durbar Square:
Situated in the heart of the Patan city, Patan Durbar Square constitutes the focus of visitor’s attraction. The square is full of ancient Palaces, temples and shrines, noted for exquisite carving. The Patan Durbar Square consists of three main chowks or courtyards, the Central Mul Chowk, Sundari Chowk and Keshar Narayan Chowk. The central chowk holds in its center a masterpiece of stone architecture, the Royal Bath called Tushahity. Interesting things to see here are: Patan Museum, Krishna Mandir, Rato Machhindranath Temple, Mahaboudha Temple, The Asokan Stupas , Hirana Varna Mahavihar, Kumbheshwor, Jagatnarayan Temple, Rudra Varna Mahavihar, Accheswor Mahavihar and many more.

Hanuman Doka Durbar Square (Kathmandu Durbar Square):
It is a historic seat of royalty. The durbar square, with its old temples and palaces, epitomizes the religious and cultural life of the people. It is here that kings of Nepal are crowned and their coronations solemnized. The skillfully-built temples and palaces, delicately-engraved stone and metal images, carved wooden columns and pillars, and the history laden shrines and chaityas stand testimony of the Nepali artistic achievements. Interesting things to see here are: Hanuman Dhoka (Old Royal Palace), Taleju Temple built by King Mahendra Malla in 1549 AD, the temple of Kal Bhairav (the God of destruction), Nautalle Durbar (9 Storey palace), Coronation Nasal Chowk, The Gaddi Baithak, the statue of King Pratap Malla, Temple of Kumari, Kastamandap Temple (House of wood, is the building which gave Kathmandu its name), Image of Kal Bhairav, the Jagannath Temple and many others.

Bhaktapur Durbar Square:
is the plaza in front of the royal palace of the old Bhaktapur Kingdom. The golden gate is the entrance to the main courtyard of the the Palace of 55 Windows. Built by King Ranjit Malla, the gate is one of the most beautiful and richly carved specimens of its kind in the entire world. The gate is embellished with deities and monsters with marvelous intricacy. The Palace of 55 Windows was built in 1700 AD. Among the brick walls in their gracious setting and sculptural design, is a balcony of 55 windows. This balcony is a masterpiece of wood carving. The stone temple of Batsala Devi which is also located in the Durbar Square is full of intricate carvings. This temple also sets a beautiful example of Shikhara style architecture in Nepal. There is a bronze bell on the terrace of the temple which is also known as the “Bell of Barking Dogs”.This colossal bell, placed in 1737 AD, was rung to signal curfew during those days. The main square of the city contains innumerable temples and other architectural showpieces like the Lion Gate, the statue of king Bhupatindra Malla, the Picture Gallery, the Bastala temple, etc.
